Welcome back they say, settle down.
you’re probably wondering about all the side effects by now.
But they got something else to tell you
more like they have many things not to tell you about.
So laugh, laugh, laugh at your own demise.
We’re just like you! With a billion dollar enterprise,
and that’s the news…
They let clowns with painted faces poke fun at the murdered.
No lives matter, while they hold their weapons very dear.
And if you are mad about underrepresentation,
well then they’ll add some gross stereotypes,
while they go back and white wash, and rewrite, their self flattering history.
And that’s the news…
And if there’s a mother with a baby that need to be fed,
well then all hell breaks loose, what dread!
But if that same mother’s body’s for sale,
Well then, that’s alright, that’s her right, that’s alright.
And a woman can’t refuse the children she never asked for,
but she sure can send them to war….
And that’s the news. That’s the news.
But you ask me, if there is really someone, if there’s anyone who believes
we can change it all, then, well why don’t we see, if there are many who want it all to change, why don’t we see them.
I respond:
All those preaching love, compassion, integration and equality,
you will rarely see them on TV.
if they're addressing the issues, they won’t be on the news,
they won’t be on the news...
Turn it off, turn it off, turn it off, turn, it, off.
